Swimming With Dolphins Programme - Terms & Conditions

 

All cancellations must be done 3 days prior to your scheduled swim. No refunds are available should the participant arrive late or terminate the programme sooner than expected. Should Mediterraneo be obliged to terminate the swim session, due to climatic, technical or zoological reasons, we reserve the right to postpone the session or transfer it to another date. If the participant is unavailable at the new time, he or she will be reimbursed for the cost of the programme. Mediterraneo reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to terminate the program, should any participant fail to follow its rules or behave in a manner detrimental to the animals or another guest. In this situation, no refund will be given. Kindly note that guests Swimming With Dolphins have to be over 8 years and must be able  to swim, as the pool is 7m deep. Although a transfer may be included in the price, the time of departure from the park is at the Park's discretion.

Swimming With Dolphins Programme - Disclaimer

You will have a unique opportunity to meet at close quarters and interact with trained bottlenose dolphins, under the supervision of specialized professionals, while participating in sequences of aquatic behaviours. This will be an excellent opportunity to expand your knowledge about these extraordinary ambassadors of the oceans.

Swimming Requirements - All guests must:

• Be at the meeting point 5 minutes prior to the start of the program (delays are not refundable)
• Be at least 8 years old
• Know how to swim
• Be in a good physical condition and free of any major physical or psychological impairment (which could limit the ability to understand instructions or move comfortably in the water)
• Remove all loose items, such as earrings, necklaces, watches, bracelets, contact lenses, glasses, still and video cameras, hair bands, or any other object that may cause harm to the dolphins
• Take a shower prior to entering the dolphiarium (remove make-up)
• Wear a wetsuit (provided by Mediterraneo) during the swim programme. Underneath the wetsuit, one should wear bathing suit. The use of a t-shirt is optional
• Fully respect all instructions given by the Mediterraneo staff, especially prior and during the
• Keep a quiet, calm attitude

 Additional Information

• The following people can not for safety reasons, participate in the swim programme: pregnant women, severely (physical or psychological) impaired people, people with strong physical limitations (example: heart conditions), children under 8 years of age, people with skin disorders, people under the influence of drugs or alcohol, people with hydrophobia, people with any other conditions which may compromise the participant or the dolphin?s well-being.
